PATIENT GUIDELINES

Preparing for Your Diagnostic Test

Following routine preparation instructions ensures your scan can proceed smoothly without delays.

Prescriptions & Prior Reports

Always bring your physician's prescription and any previous scan films, CD/DVD discs, or test reports to help radiologists perform comparative analysis.

Fasting & Diet Instructions

Abdominal ultrasound and contrast-enhanced CT scans typically require 4 to 6 hours of fasting. Certain blood tests also require overnight fasting. Call our desk beforehand to verify.

Metal Safety for MRI

Because MRI utilizes a strong magnetic field, all metallic items (jewelry, watches, metallic hairpins, belt buckles) must be removed. Inform staff if you have cardiac pacemakers or surgical implants.
